20th Century “Starchitects” Lecture with Guest Curator, Ruth Grim

This lecture looks at the architects that followed and were inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, especially his later designs where he seemed to abandon all allegiance to the rectangle in his architecture literally “thinking outside the box.” Artists such as Frank Gehry, Santiago Calatrava, I.M. Pei, Zaha Hadid, and others continued Wright’s legacy of breaking the bounds of what is possible in architecture and took the discipline to places even Wright couldn’t have envisioned.
