From Kitchen to Customer: Starting Your Food Business the Right Way

Presented in collaboration with NC Cooperative Extension, this workshop guides aspiring food entrepreneurs through the essential steps of launching and growing a value-added food business in Mecklenburg County. Participants will explore product risk categories, learn the differences between home- and commercial-based food production, identify appropriate kitchen and processing facilities, and gain a better understanding of key regulatory agencies, including the NCDA&CS, FDA, and USDA. The sessio
