Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue

Barbecue competitors from across the country and world converge in Lynchburg, TN to wield their grilling and smoking expertise in the final competition of the year on Oct. 9 – 10, with the main competition on Saturday. Although the barbecue competition itself is in Wiseman Park, the entire town is filled with booths and displays.

Sample some barbecue, cn check out buck dancing, try your hand at butt bowling or cheer on the pets in the Country Dog Show. Admission is free and open to all ages.

Schedule & Turn-In Times:

• Friday, October 9 (BBQ Bash in the Hollow): Events start around 10 a.m. with the “I Know Jack” grilling contest, a Parade of Teams at 4:45 p.m., and the BBQ Bash beginning at 6 p.m.
• Saturday, October 10 (Competition & Judging): Public activities, cooking demos, and vendor booths open in the morning. Official meat turn-in times for judges are:
• Chicken: 12 p.m.
• Ribs: 12:30 p.m.
• Pork: 1 p.m.
• Brisket: 1:30 p.m.
