Alejandro G. Iñárritu presents DIGGER

TRIVIA:

• The film was shot in VistaVision, a widescreen format from the 1950s. Cruise said the format was chosen for the clarity and richness of the frame and because it fit the film's tone and the way Alejandro G. Iñárritu wanted to shoot.
• Cruise overheated in the prosthetics during long takes, so cooling machines were brought to the set. The crew called suiting him up before a take 'Digger up' and cooling him down between takes 'Digger down.'
• This will be Tom Cruise's first non-action film in over a decade. The last film he was in that wasn't action was Rock of Ages (2012).
• Tom Cruise, who is in his mid-60s, wore prosthetic makeup to play a character also in his mid-60s.
