Basic Mixing

This class will teach you the basics of mixing audio. The tools and techniques you will learn in this class serve as the foundation for Mix Engineers everywhere. Learning these basics should provide you more than enough knowledge to achieve a competent mix.

There is a lot of information to convey in this class, so please come focused and ready to learn. You will learn to: Create a blend Paint the stereo image Organize the frequency spectrum Use faders, pan knobs, compressors, and EQ You will need: A notepad A positive attitude To be focused and ready to learn (Optional) Your listening headphones (1/4" jack only) If you are the type of person who wants to learn how to make your bass and kick cut through the mix, how to compress and excite a lead vocal properly, and what every knob on a Fully Parametric EQ does, this class is for you.
