Lionsgate presents BEWARE BOIÚNA

To start the Halloween month off with bite, Mike P. Nelson *(Silent Night, Deadly Night)* brings back the ‘Giant Man-eating Snake’ vibe of the 90’s with BEWARE BOIÚNA *s*tarring Logan Marshall-Green *(Upgrade)*, Jessica Rothe *(Happy Death Day)*, Kiana Madeira *(Fear Street series)*, Jackson Bews *(Malficent)*, Sergio Herrera *(The Last Photograph)*, Vicente Peña *(El Comondante)* and Will Close *(Silent Witness)*.

TRIVIA

• Director Mike P. Nelson used a number of practical techniques for the snake, such as dragging a massive piece of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) through the jungle to simulate weighted movement and using giant printouts of the snake's head for eye line.
• Actors Jessica Rothe and Kiana Madeira had to react to a terrifying giant predator that was largely added in post-production, forcing them to rely heavily on imagination while filming in the Colombian Amazon rainforest.
• The lead trio—Jessica Rothe, Kiana Madeira, and Logan Marshall-Green—brings extensive horror and sci-fi survival experience from projects like *Happy Death Day*, *Upgrade*, and *Prometheus*.

PLOT: A team of doctors embark on a local mission in the Amazon rain forest, but it soon becomes clear that not everybody - or everything - is happy to see them. Their sudden appearance draws the attention of an animal predator, the "Boiúna." - IMDb
