
EcoStitch 101: Basic Apparel Trades Sewing
This series blends equitable-trade sewing with the fundamentals of sustainable apparel — giving you a real skill set to carry into a career, a small business, or a more resourceful closet. What You'll Learn: Hands-on bag and garment construction, week by week A sustainable fashion focus — thrifting, upcycling, and creating wearable garments with sustainability in mind Environmental stewardship principles woven throughout Small-group instruction at a beginner-friendly pace Real projects — apply your skills to pieces that reflect your style, the first step toward a trade you could build on Program Details: Starts Tuesday, September 8 Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:30–7:30 PM A 6-week program — because each class builds on the one before, we ask that participants be able to commit to attending the full 6 weeks This is a 6 week, 2-days a week program, that requires attendance at all 12 sessions You may bring your own sewing machines (manual required) or one will be provided for you.
